What We Found in an Amazon Mystery Box: Bonide & More — May 27, 2026

We cracked open a fresh Amazon Mystery Box here in Hot Springs today, and honestly? It's one of those boxes that makes you laugh a little. Not because it was bad — it wasn't — but because the mix was so wonderfully random.

The Wildest Find: Bonide Horse & Stable Fly Spy

Lead item in this box was a single Bonide HORSE/STABLE FLY SPY 1.33G at $42.49 retail. That one came out of nowhere. If you've got a barn situation, you know what this stuff is worth — and finding it tucked into a sealed mystery box is exactly the kind of thing our team lives for.

From there it got more domestic. Six cans of Play Doh at $9.99 each — classic, always moves, no complaints. We also pulled nine packs of Oxford Ruled Index Cards (3x5, 100 per pack) at $4.99 each. Back-to-school season is coming, and nine packs of index cards is actually a genuinely useful haul.

The party supply side of things showed up too: two Amscan Luau Lantern Garlands at $7.86 each. Somebody's summer cookout is about to look a little more festive.

And then — nine packs of Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Canned Wet Dog Food, Grain Free, Chicken and Sweet Potato Formula, 13-ounce (Pack of 12) at $1.82 each. Our dogs-eat-well corner of the store appreciates this one.
