What We Found in an Amazon Mystery Box: Grip Power Pads? & More — April 30, 2026

Wednesday afternoon at Deals Down Under, we cut into a new Amazon returns pallet and started pulling. Forty-six items. $741.24 in estimated retail value. The box had absolutely zero theme — which, honestly, is our favorite kind.

The bulk of the count came from 15 bin-labeling items, each worth around $2.50. Not glamorous, but they move fast and keep our shelves organized. We'll take it.

Then things got interesting.

The Cobra Grips PRO Were the Clear Winner of This Box

The Grip Power Pads Cobra Grips PRO Weight Lifting Gloves with Heavy Duty Wrist Wraps retailed at $49.95 and looked completely unused. If you deadlift, you know these — serious gym people pay full price for these without blinking. Finding a pair in an Amazon mystery box is exactly the kind of thing that makes this job fun.

Right behind that, we pulled a RoC Derm Correxion Dual Eye Cream (retail $29.97) — paraben-free, hypoallergenic, the kind of thing that disappears off our floor within a day or two. Hot Springs shoppers have great taste in skincare, and they know a deal when they see one.

The off-brand Nintendo Switch controller in yellow and turquoise Joy-Con style was a fun surprise at $24.99 retail. No idea why Amazon had it returned — it looked fine to us. Someone's kid is going to be very happy.

We also turned up a 3M FC4000 UV Marine Adhesive/Sealant — a full 10 oz cartridge, $24.88 retail. Niche item, sure. But if you've got a boat or a dock project, that's a genuine score sitting in our bins right now.

Rounding out the highlights: Cleure Fragrance Free Volumizing Shampoo for sensitive skin ($20.00 retail, sulfate-free, 12 oz), a ZJ-08 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, some Desert Essence Kids Conditioning Detangler, and a 500ml bottle of PEYAWA Herbal 3-in-1 Hair Dye Shampoo for gray coverage.

Mid box? Not quite. Exciting box? Getting warmer. This one was a solid, weird, satisfying Tuesday-afternoon opener — and most of it hits the floor tomorrow.
