What We Found in an Amazon Mystery Box: BVWCBJ & More — April 30, 2026

Fifty-two items. That's what came out of this Amazon returns box when we cut it open on April 30th. Some of it was genuinely solid. Some of it was... bin filler. But that's the deal with Amazon mystery boxes — you never quite know what's hiding at the bottom, and honestly, that's why we love doing this.

Let's start with the filler and get it out of the way. We pulled 14 bin labeling items at roughly $2.50 apiece, a single Friskies Lil' Shakes Salmon wet cat food pouch (someone's cat is eating well tonight), and a 6-pack of SureSave 16 oz glass water bottles that retailed for a whopping five bucks. Useful, sure. Exciting? Not exactly. We also had a pack of Highland 3x3 Self-Stick Notes — 12 packs of 100 sheets each, which actually isn't terrible for the office crowd here in Hot Springs.

The Star of This Box: A Human Hair Lace Front Wig Worth $80

The BVWCBJ 28-Inch 5x5 HD Lace Closure Wig was the clear headliner. Pre-plucked, pre-cut, glueless, 180% density body wave — this thing retails for $80 and it came out looking untouched. That alone made the whole box worth opening.

Right behind it, the Organic Mate Large Beach Towels (Set of 2, 35x70) — 100% cotton, oversized, bright striped design — retailed at $40 and felt genuinely premium when we unfolded them. Summer's coming. Those won't last on the floor.

Then there was the New Era Chicago Bulls 9FIFTY Snapback in all-black. Official team colorway, adjustable, OSFA. Retail $34.99. Clean hat. Real clean.

And the kids' item of the day: the Stoie's Wooden Musical Instruments Set — xylophone, maracas, tambourine, storage backpack, the whole thing. Built for ages 1–5 and honestly built well. At $28.99 retail, that's a great gift find hiding in an Amazon return box.
